The AI Economics Coach

An AI tutor that refuses to give the answer — it walks each student through predicting, reasoning in structure, checking an assumption, and revising. AI that builds judgment instead of replacing it.

A Coach session: a student gives a wrong prediction and the Coach steers them to the correct answer without giving it away.
The Coach steers a wrong guess to a correct answer — without ever handing it over.

How it works

One rule — never give the answer first. Every student does the same five moves, one at a time:

  1. 1Predict — a one-sentence gut answer, before any help.
  2. 2Name the concept — which economic idea is at the core?
  3. 3Reason in structure — Claim → Concept → Explanation → Limitation.
  4. 4Check an assumption the answer depends on.
  5. 5Revise — rewrite the answer. Only now does the Coach confirm.

The five moves aren't about economics — they're how anyone reasons through an analytical problem. The recipe is a fill-in-the-blank prompt you paste into Microsoft Copilot. No coding, about 30 minutes.

Same recipe works in Accounting · Finance · Marketing · Management · Supply Chain — you just swap in your course's concepts and the #1 error your students always make.
